“Life is Beautiful” Gala Table Setting.

On February 25the Atlanta region sponsored the sixth annual Life is Beautiful Gala to benefit the Pregnancy Aid Clinic, with record attendance of nearly 150 guests.

The clinic now boasts three locations serving the metro Atlanta area and a mobile unit that can be found in multiple Atlanta locations providing lifesaving and life changing services. The 29-foot traveling ultrasound unit, which was made possible through funds raised at these Malta galas, was on site that night and available for tours.

The gala began with a cocktail hour, followed opening remarks from Hospitaller Lynn Mullaney.  Monsignor Edward J. Dillon, chaplain of the Order, offered the blessing for the evening and was joined by Knights, Dames, Auxiliary Members, and special guest Deacon Michael Stankewicz, Executive Director of the Federal Association.  Kimberly Hanna and Angie Lewis served as co-chairs of the event.

The guests watched a specially prepared video of testimonials from staff, volunteers, and most important, young women who had made the choice for life.  Students from Holy Spirit Preparatory School’s Pro-Life Club were available to process donations throughout the evening.

The Atlanta region has raised approximately $400,000 for the Pregnancy Aid Clinic through six years of sponsoring the gala. Anyone wishing to learn more about the clinic or make a donation may visit their website at http://www.pregnancyaidclinic.org.
