Charlotte Region Hosts the Homeless

On January 2, the Charlotte Region prepared a wonderful dinner for 10 of our homeless neighbors at Saint Peter’s Church in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to the six knights and dames appearing in the adjacent photo, there were four additional members participating. The dinner included a salad, filet mignon, corn, homemade mashed potatoes, tasty pies, cakes, and Sprite and Coke products.

The homeless men were welcomed into a multi-purpose room under the church, and after enjoying the meal they were offered a warm place to sleep on blowup mattresses. They also had an opportunity to shower and received new socks, toiletries, and underwear. They left the next morning feeling cared for.
