The Annual Fund
The Federal Association Annual Fund is the vehicle by which the hand of the Order extends beyond the service our Knights and Dames provide in their own communities and makes known the mission of the Order to the world.
All gifts to the Annual Fund solely support the Grants Program and, thus, are used to perpetuate the 900-year mission of the Order to defend the Faith and serve the poor and the sick in this country and around the world. The scope of the work accomplished—both nationally and internationally—through these gifts is truly impressive.
Gifts to the Annual Fund empower the Association to provide the resources required to serve our Lords the poor and the sick. Each gift to the Annual Fund is put to direct use to alleviate the suffering of those in need within our communities and around the globe.
However, each year, there are a number of worthy requests that are declined or are only partially funded—limited only by the participation and generoisty of the Knights and Dames. Without gifts to the Annual Fund many of the good works of the Order would not be possible. In fact, the Federal Association recevied over $900,000 in requests for the fall cycle of submissions. The Grants Committee was able to work with only $375,000 after the balance between the amount raised through the Annual Fund and the amount dispersed in the spring.
The Annual Fund is fundamental to the mission of the Order and is an important way that Knights and Dames carry out their vocation. Membership in the Order brings with it many obligations—spiritual and financial. But, it also brings with it many opportunities.
One of those opportunities is through philanthropic support. The Federal Association conducts a full Development Program to provide and foster opportunities for members to give of their treasure. And, though personal, hands-on service is never be underestimated—the Annual Fund allows each Knight and Dame to express—to the level of their capability—their commitment to the mission of the Order and their devotion to their vocation.
It requires gifts of all sizes to carry on the important and vital work of the Order. This is evidenced by the Federal Association Annual Fund which consists of gifts from $25 to $25,000.
