Hospitaller Regions - Kansas City
The Kansas City area includes the Greater Kansas City in Missouri and Kansas. John Massman has been the long time Regional Hospitaller and also served on the Association Board of Directors and Admissions Committee. Presently he is coordinating with Tom Moreland to start a Region in Des Moines where they expect to have 2-3 members within the next year. John McMeel, Robert Liepold, and Richard Miller are former members of the Federal Association Board of Directors. Currently Tom Weiford is serving a term on the Board. Chaplains include the Most Rev. Raymond J. Boland (Bishop Emeritus of Kansas City-St. Joseph) and Most Rev. James P. Keleher (Archbishop Emeritus of Kansas City in Kansas).
The Kansas City group was instrumental in the establishment of the Duchesne Clinic in Kansas City, Kansas. This Clinic serves thousands of patients each year and has been supported by the Federal Association’s Clinic Program. Christmas in October, which annually rehabs over 400 houses with 3,000 volunteers, was initiated in Kansas City by John McMeel and Richard Miller.
Members of the Order (and their families) who are interested in participating in one of these activities should contact the Regional Hospitaller. The phone/fax number is available in Federal Association Directory.
