Dues vs. Annual Giving

Dues vs. Annual Giving

Annual Dues versus the Annual Fund

Dues are separate and distinct from gifts to the Annual Fund. Dues are part of the requirements of membership in the Order of Malta and cover the costs of operating the Association. Gifts to the Annual Fund, however, are voluntary and go in full to the direct service of the poor and the sick in this country and around the world.

Dues, as of 2010, are $1,200 for each member used to help sustain the day-to-day operations of the Association. Gifts to the Annual Fund range from $25 to $25,000—reflective of the individual capability and generosity of the Knights and Dames.

Gifts differ from dues in that dues are a set requirement of membership and gifts are a voluntary expression of both one's capability and dedication to the mission of the Order.
